GENERAL

 

 

Race 1

LUCKY VAL was slow to begin.  Approaching the bottom turn MISTER JAYDEE, ROUGH ROBBIE and ITZA BOY TRICK were involved in general tightening with all greyhounds losing ground.  Through the catching pen MISTER JAYDEE shifted wide hampering the run of SUPER STANLEY.  Over the concluding stages MISS SOUTHERLY and RED ACES were racing tight and bumping.

 

Race 2

BRICKENDON BOY was slow to begin.  JETT BLACK BOB and MAKE YOU HAPPY dwelt at the start.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion BRICKENDON BOY and HONEYSUCKLE ROSE collided at the rear of the field.  Approaching the bottom turn BRICKENDON BOY checked wide losing ground.  Approaching the home turn XANADU’S IMAGE, TRIP METER and HONEYSUCKLE ROSE were racing tight.  Over the concluding stages HONEYSUCKLE ROSE shifted off the rails colliding with BLUE PUNISHER.  BLUE PUNISHER lost ground.

 

Race 3

HALZANI and BYE BYE BONES were slow to begin.  Approaching the home turn on the 1st occasion ROCKABYE LAD, CEE CLAY and BLACK RULER all collided.  Shortly after HALZANI galloped on ROCKBYE LAD’s heels.  Entering the back straight ROCKABYE LAD faulted losing ground.  Passing the 600m boxes BLACK RULER and FREE CHEERS were checked whilst making a forward move off the heels of GEM KING who was losing ground.

 

Race 4

FESTIVEAN was slow to begin.  BONSAI CLOUD, BERELLA DIVA, RUBY LAVELLE and BLACK MONTY were racing tight and bumping shortly after the start.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion, SIANNA CLOUD lost ground when checking off the heels of BLACK MONTY.  Through the catching pen RUBY LAVELLE eased when checking off the heels of BONSAI CLOUD.  Entering the home straight RUBY LAVELLE shifted out turning its head out and making contact with. BONSAI CLOUD and continued marring, this greyhound into the home straight.  This greyhound will be charged under Rule 69 (1), 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial all tracks 600m.

 

Race 5

SOOPA SHOOPA was slow to begin.  Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion AUSSIE VALE, BILLY BEE STING, AUNTY VICK and SMART CHOICE were tightened for room.  Approaching the bottom turn AUSSIE VALE and SOOPA SHOOPA collided at the rear of the field.  Approaching the top turn, AUNTY VICK was making a forward move when checking off the heels of CLASSY DRESSER.

 

Race 6

SPECIAL PHANTOM was slow to begin.  Approaching the home turn on the 1st occasion CLAIR MAUDE, SISTERMATIC and JACK DOLLY were racing tight and bumping.

 

Race 7

VARVATOS and SERIOUS DREAMS were slow to begin.  VARVATOS, GEMTASTIC and FAN MAIL collided shortly after the start.  Approaching the home turn on the 1st occasion SERIOUS DREAMS and FAN MAIL collided at the rear of the field.  In the home straight on the 1st occasion ELISE ODETTE checked off the heels of VARVATOS resulting in ELISE ODETTE then colliding with FAN MAIL.  Through the catching pen BLACK MAZE and BRANDED bumped with both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.

 

Race 8

FEVER JACK and IRON STEED dwelt at the start.  Approaching the bottom turn IRON STEED and LETHAL MARISKA both collided.  Entering the back straight FEVER JACK shifted out hampering the run of STONE COLD SOBER.

 

Race 9

WANSBOROUGH was slow to begin.  MISS HOT GOSSIP and MOBILE PHANTOM dwelt shortly after the start.  Approaching the bottom turn WANSBOROUGH eased when checking off the heels of MISS HOT GOSSIP.

Stewards questioned Mr. David Robartson the trainer of MISS HOT GOSSIP regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr Robartson stated that MISS HOT GOSSIP had not started since the 29th of May due to suitable races not being available. Mr Robartson further stated that whilst the bitch may have lacked a little in race fitness due to her preparation he expected a strong performance from the greyhound tonight.  Mr Robartson undertook to advise stewards anything that comes to light in the near future that may explain tonight’s performance.  Stewards noted Mr Robartsons explanation however advised him that the greyhounds performances will be monitored in the future. A veterinary examination of  MISS HOT GOSSIP  revealed no abnormalities.

 Race 10

LATE SHOW PAT was slow to begin.  ESKIMO DANCER and CAYMAN BALE collided shortly after the start.  Approaching the bottom turn SLEEK AND SMART, CAYMAN BALE, GOZO TESS and HEZA MENAGERIE were in a scrimmage resulting in CAYMAN BALE being checked to the rear of the field.
